We have lately had a lot of people ask why their sites are hidden deep inside the Google search returns or not showing up at all. Much of this has to do with site design. How you create your site has enormous impacts on how search engines view, index, and rank its pages.

We have therefore compiled a list of links taken directly from the Google documentation on suggestions for what to do and what not to do in order to increase your page ranking.

The following links talk about some common ways in which people try to manipulate page rankings. In most cases these not only fail but will result in Google penalizing your page ranking, causing it to sink even further down the list of returns. For severe infractions the site might be excluded from the index completely.
