Web Accessibility Site Online

August 1st, 2008 by Erick Beck

After several months in the works, the Web Accessibility site is now online. The site is a collaboration of this office, the Web Accessibility Team and CIS’s Information Technology Issues Management. It is designed to be a comprehensive, 1-stop clearinghouse for all web accessibility matters.

While the site does contain a section aggregating all of the policies and legal procedures we are bound to, the core component is the educational resources it offers. We include tutorials, checklists, tools & resources, and a university-specific “getting started” section where we show how to build an accessible site from the ground up, including a list of all the federal, state, and university requirements.
