Emergency Web site Webinar invite

May 5th, 2008 by tamuwebmaster

If you are a campus webmaster or communicator and you have an interest in emergency/crisis communication and the Web, you should plan to join us for a Webinar on Wednesday, May 7 from noon to 1pm in the Library Room 1.204.We will be watching a presentation from Virginia Tech’s Director of Web Communications, Michael Dame. In “911 Website: How to design a crisis/emergency web template for your institution,” Dame will explain why every higher education institution should prepare a crisis web template and how Virginia Tech’s made a big difference on April 16, 2007.

He will also walk through the steps necessary to build a best-of-breed crisis website and share a basic coded template to get started.

We have reserved room 1.204 in the Library (holds up to 100 people) in order to accommodate anyone who might be interested in emergency communications from a Web or communications process standpoint.

We look forward to seeing you.
