Web Accessibility Team Update

April 28th, 2008 by Erick Beck

The Web Accessibility Team is off to a good start. We had our first meeting on April 15, with the next one being tomorrow morning. For those interested in web accessibility but not able to devote the time to being part of the team, you can follow our progress on the listserv or the wiki.

A few of the projects that we have already started talking about include:

  • Updating the list of Key Public Entry Points (KPEPS)
  • Adding content to the web accessibility web site to add a “Getting Started” section for webmasters explaining all the state, system, and university rules and giving a step-by-step list of requirements for campus web pages
  • Organizing an Accessibility/Usability Showcase, which would bring experts from on- and off-campus to talk about various aspects

If you have any ideas that you would like to see discussed, or want to participate in any of these projects, please feel free to let us know. Whether you’re a member of the team or not we appreciate anyone with an interest in the topic and always welcome input.
