Information and insight from the A&M Webmasters

WWW Redirects

November 5th, 2007 by Erick Beck

Our first email went out last week to site owners of pages containing redirects. These directories make up over 50 of 165 content directories on the server, so moving them off and converting them to Apache rewrites is an important step in cleaning out the server directory structure. So far we have gotten responses from about a dozen site owners, who I thank for their quick response. That still leaves us with many more, though. If any of you own one of these directories, please start archiving material so that we can get the site root down to something more manageable.
