Information and insight from the A&M Webmasters

Privacy and Copyright Statements

June 21st, 2007 by tamuwebmaster

Texas Administrative Code and Texas A&M Standard Administrative Procedures require Texas A&M Web sites to include a link to the university’s Web privacy policy on every page. If your site needs to adopt a privacy policy that is different than this policy because of the information you are collecting or requesting, it would be good practice to run the amended policy by the Office of General Counsel. If approved, then you must link your policy from your Web site.

Also, to meet the requirements of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the university has a copyright page addressing complaints. Campus Web sites are not required to link to this copyright statement but all publishers should be aware of it.
