Brand Guide Site

June 14th, 2007 by Erick Beck

The Brand Council is wrapping up work on the final version of the Brand Guide. In order to clear up any confusion in the meantime, they have asked us to take down the draft version from the web site. Contact information is still posted if anybody still needs elements from the old guide.

  1. Do you know when it will be back up?

  3. It looks like the full Brand Guide with Pantone, CMYK colors, graphics, downloadables, etc. won’t be up for a while (late-July/Early-August?). They are wanting to make sure a good chunk of the deliverables are ready first. There is a Pantone generated Aggie Maroon, and the business card system needs to be updated and tested to name a few milestones. If you are needing graphics right now, I’d email Stanton Ware at That’s why we are waiting as well. We’re not going to go too far on a Brand Guide site redesign until they solidify its contents.

  5. Okay, I can see taking down the guide. Taking down the logos is inconvenient to say the least. Surely having *something* up there is better than using whatever logo is sitting on a network drive at the time. I mean, I thought that was the reasoning behind putting them up there to begin with.

  7. Inconvenient, I agree. However, having the wrong logos out there is even worse. Stanton is in the process of finalizing logos and other parts of the visual identity. In the recent Brand Council meeting, he said that if an office really had a need to email him at with a request.
