Binding Policies and Guidelines

June 11th, 2007 by tamuwebmaster

Web sites and pages under the “” header must adhere to Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 206 Subchapter C. TAC 206C sets forth a number of requirements including the use of metadata, privacy statements, accessibility and usability, and links to specific online resources.

Texas A&M also sets forth certain requirements in compliance with and in addition to TAC 206C. Texas A&M Standard Administrative Procedure 33.04.99.M5.01(PDF) details university “Key Public Entry Points”, accessibility and usability, use of metadata, links and contact information.

  3. Stephanie,
That’s a good point. We have included a similar list in a forthcoming chapter of the style guide. What we have published so far is just the introductory content. We wanted to post it in smaller pieces rather than all at once to make it easier to digest and to promote more detailed discussion of the topics.
