TAMU Webmaster's Blog

Information and insight from the A&M Webmasters

New look/new version

October 30th, 2008 by tamuwebmaster

As you can well see, we’ve upgraded the Webmaster’s blog. New look, a shift in layout and some add-ins. We’ve made a jump from WordPress 2.2 up to 2.6.2, and like some of you, are going to quickly jump to 2.6.3 due to a security “issue.”

We’ve added a few links to the sidebar that we hope will be helpful (if you haven’t joined the uwebd Ning network, it’s a good resource) and are looking at some new plugins to add to the features. For the jump from 2.2 to 2.6.x, it’s a big jump and it’s taking a little time to get a feel for where all they put different sections. Thank goodness for the XML export feature to get our earlier posts into the new version.

Like Erick said before, as we continue on, let us know if you see anything amiss (shout out to Matthew for noticing the cname issue  yesterday), have any ideas (thanks Matt) or any other thoughts.

  1. And Greg just proved my point. Thanks for catching the RSS Feed link on Erick’s earlier post. Looks like some of the p* didn’t match up.
