Information and insight from the A&M Webmasters

Post-Webinar follow up

May 8th, 2008 by tamuwebmaster

Thanks again for the folks who were able to join us yesterday in the library for the “911 Website: How to design a crisis/emergency web template for your institution” Webinar. Michael Dame from Virginia Tech provided a really good presentation, and the Higher Ed Experts folks have posted the presentation online for on-demand listening/viewing.

NOTE: These resources will be available online until May 14, 2008.

Simply:

  • Visit http://www.higheredexperts.com/may2008
  • Enter username: hee ; password: emergency
  • Then it will give you access to the PDF handout of the presentation as well as the “lite” template resources
  • Follow the link to the WebEx archive for the presentation audio and screens

For those of you who want a little bit more, you can download a copy of Michael Dame’s presentation from the Higher Ed Web Dev Conference called “The Tragedy at Virginia Tech: Crisis Communications on the Web”. This gives you a fuller understanding of all that went on during that stretch of time in mid-April of last year at VT and their response.

Once again, we want to thank everyone who came and hope you will join us next time and will enjoy the presentation online.
