New Projects and Old

August 2nd, 2007 by Erick Beck

This has been a catch-up week for us. Being gone for three days for the CMS demos last week let a lot pile up, and didn’t stop new projects from coming in. A lot of this will be internal projects, so you may not see a lot of activity but rest assured we’re busier than ever.

Code Maroon is now pretty much complete from our side. Administrators are in the process of deciding how, when, and from who emergency messages will be sent, but the registration names are in place and being managed by the vendor software.

One project new this week is an information page for tailgating on campus during athletics events. This will be available at http://tailgating.tamu.edu/ at the end of the week. It will spell out the basic guidelines and how-tos for people wanting to enjoy this traditional pre-game festivity.

On the maintenance side of things, we have something I know many people have been looking for… http://tamu.edu/ is now set up in DNS to redirect to http://www.tamu.edu/. I know must modern browsers already do this for the user, but we consider this an important improvement to the ease of use for our users and are happy to be able to announce it is available.

  1. Thanks for the tamu.edu connection! Whoop! We join the ranks of yale.edu, berkeley.edu, wisc.edu and leave harvard.edu in the dust!

    😉
